Gallery Hire

There are 2 gallery spaces with integrated hanging rails. The Small Gallery has 10 wall panels (each 1.2 metres wide) and the ‘Concourse’ gallery with 18 panels (also 1.2 metres wide. Hirers can book one or both galleries. Each panel is suited for art works up to approx 900mm wide, or two small artworks, either hung side by side or one above the other. It is possible to hang very wide canvases across two panels.

Hanging wires and hooks will be supplied for the hirers use. Hirers are expected to hang, curate and manage their own exhibition. A safety ladder is available for hirers to assist with installation and removal of their artworks. Hirers are responsible for all safe work practices. The Gallery space(s) must be left clean and tidy on completion (Cleaning gear is available on site). Limit the use of Blu Tack to small amounts for the purpose of affixing display signs.

All hanging wires and hooks are to be accounted for at the end of the exhibition, any loss or damage is the responsibility of the hirer. Replacement wires are $15 each and hooks are $8.50 each.

Applications and enquires

  • Name of the organisation or individual including website link if applicable
  • Contact person with email and phone number
  • Title of the Exhibition if known
  • Brief description of the works
  • Examples of the art works as attachments of website link
  • Which Gallery space(s)
  • Dates and duration for the exhibition minimum 2 weeks maximum 4 weeks including install and uninstall.

Fee

$100 for the Small Gallery, $200 for the Concourse Gallery, or $300 for both. This is a one off payment for max 4 weeks. Once the application is approved you will receive instructions on how to make payment.

Insurance

Hirers will be responsible for insuring the art work for the duration of the exhibition Including Public Liability Insurance of Minimum $20M. Hirers are to provide evidence of insurance 7 days prior to the hire.

Sale of artwork

The hirer will need to organise their own procedures for making sales.

Gallery Opening Hours

The Gallery spaces will be fully accessible during the Hall/Cafe opening which is Monday – Friday 7am – 12pm, Saturday 8am -2pm and occasional Sundays 8am -2pm when major events are on e.g. Little Marino Market.
