The Adelaide Red Rebels are a group of performance artists and activists who are part of the international Red Rebel Brigade. They use their performances to raise awareness about the climate crisis and advocate for environmental protection and the prevention of mass extinction.

As part of the South Australian Living Artists Festival (SALA) the Red Rebel Brigade display is at the Marino Community Hall until the end of August.

As part of the exhibition you can write a note to a Red Rebel – what would you say or ask? View photos of Red Rebel actions around Adelaide. Take a close look at the headdress which is part of the striking costume.

The Red Rebel Brigade are part of a global movement which originated in the UK and has spread to various locations, including Adelaide. They are aligned with Extinction Rebellion.

The red colour of their costumes symbolises the blood shared by all living species, emphasising unity and connection with nature.

The exhibition will remain open until 31 August. View the exhibition when activities are taking place at the hall. Take a look at the What’s On page to view when activities are taking place.
